The February 2017 Life History files are uploaded.

Some of the most important events:

• Swift, at Whiskers, has given birth on February 22nd.
• Lazuli has seen just another dominance change, after dominant female Elise the Great (VLF219) disappeared. Minnie (VLF222) is her successor.
• Both Drachentöter (VLM189, also known as Stumpy due to his stumpy tail – one of the most successful rovers of the past years who stayed in 6 groups during his lifetime) and Chewbacca (JXM077, the last remaining member of the “Friends” litter) succumbed to TB. Roving male Genie (VJXM035) was killed in an IGI with Rascals.
• Furthermore, the Ewoks group disintegrated with the death of the last remaining female Edzna (two roving males remain, but they are not collared).
• There are two new subgroups: “Annals of History” (AH, with two Baobab females) and TB-or-not-TB (TN), formed by Jaxx evictee Sheena and four roving males of diverse origins, including Whisker’s K-Quob.
• The rains continued in February – the KMP received more rain in January and February 2017 than in the entire year 2016!

Some of the most important events:

• Swift, at Whiskers, is pregnant again.
• Jaxx and Lazuli have swapped males – Lazuli’s LLCoolJ now leads Jaxx, whereas Jaxx’ short-time dominant Polon (5 months old) is now dominant at Lazuli.
• Logi (VBBF104), dominant female at Ubuntu, disappeared just after giving birth – but reappeared 3 weeks later, recovering from a snake bite and apparently raising her litter! She lost dominance however.
• Ex Ewoks dominant male Tigi (VRRM113) made an appearance at Lazuli, about a year after he was last seen!
• Both wild males at Pandora disappeared, probably due to TB. Van Helsing’s Cheesy Toast (VVHM092) took over dominance.
• Dispersal groups Stumpy’s Angels, Creampie and Glennfiddich are extinct after their dominant females succumbed to TB.
• The KMP has received 124 mm of rain – good after a slow start of the rainy season!

The December 2016 Life History files are uploaded.

Some of the most important events:

• Swift (VWF176), at Whiskers, gave birth, but the litter was abandoned after a few days, unfortunately – an with them juvenile Lavandula (VWF203) who had stayed with the pups.
• Baobab had a mixed litter of nine pups.
• JubJub Bird (VLF194), the Lazuli dominant female, went missing during a stormy night, probably when a burrow collapsed, and is assumed dead. Elise the Great (VLF219) is now dominant.
• The Quintessentials group disintegrated after the last remaining female Growl Tiger (VQLF019) was found predated. Former dominant male Chewbacca is still roving.
• Laika (VRRF180) took over dominance at Rascals after previous dominant female Edna May (VRRF137) disappeared, probably due to TB.
